I work from the garden salon at 40 Appledine Way, Bedford. MK41 0FP. Parking is available at the top of the road next to the railings. Please don’t ring the doorbell on the main house! There is a doorbell on the wall next to the garden gate.

Something comfy and cosy! If you are coming for a leg massage, wear or bring shorts. Otherwise, wear something you can take off and put back on easily, that will keep you warm when leaving as you can feel a little chilly after a massage. It is possible that there will still be a little bit of oil on your body after the massage - though I will do my best to wipe off excess - that could get on your clothing so bear that in mind too.

Swedish massage uses light to medium pressure and gentle flowing strokes to promote relaxation. The lights are dim, essential oils are used for a spa-like experience. Sports Massage uses medium to firm pressure and long stretching motions to relieve tight muscles usually caused by overuse. This is less about relaxation and more about increasing range of motion and comfort. If you are unsure which one to book, drop me a message and I would be happy to advise you.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a waiting area at the salon so I would advise arriving no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment. There is plenty of space available at the top of the road for parking so no need to panic about leaving enough time for parking.

Please arrive for your appointment no earlier than 5 minutes before the start time, freshly showered and having used the loo! Unfortunately, I have no toilet facilities at the salon, the nearest public toilets are at Waitrose or Tesco, just down the road. It’s also best to avoid having a large meal or drink right before a treatment that needs you to lie on your stomach.

For something like a leg-focused Sports Massage, no, not at all. Just wear or bring some shorts to change into. For a full body Swedish massage? Yes, but never completely. Knickers/boxers should always stay on, a bra would need to come off for the back area to be properly accessed but please rest assured that your comfort and privacy are my priority, I have an abundance of towels and blankets to make sure you feel covered and comfortable. If that is something you are absolutely not comfortable with then send me a message and we can work out how to adapt the massage to accommodate that, I’m always happy to work with my clients to give them peace of mind and make sure they feel relaxed and comfortable.

Please just let me know! I will check in with you about pressure levels regularly but if you’re feeling like you really want me to dig into an area, or, even more importantly, if something is hurting you, let me know. This is your treatment time, and my goal is for you to leave feeling relaxed, balanced, and cared for.

You can send me an email via the Get in Touch page of this website, or send me a private message via my Facebook page or Instagram page and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you just want to book a treatment you can do that directly from this booking site link.

Yes. Sorry, I know it’s boring but I need you to fill in the forms for your safety (letting me know about medical conditions and allergies) and mine (my insurance requires me to have asked you these questions before treatment). I will call or email you if I still haven’t received the forms the night before your appointment but, if you still turn up without having filled them in then we’ll have to do it together in the salon and that will drastically cut down your treatment time.
